Curious about the world of kimono? Ever wondered what types exist, when they’re worn, and the cultural meanings behind them? Join us for a special event where Kimono instructor Ms. Taeko Kitsunai and her team from the NPO Japan Kimono Education Support Project (日本きもの教育支援プロジェクト) will introduce the rich traditions and stories behind kimono. You’ll have the chance to see a variety of beautiful kimono up close and learn how each one plays a unique role in Japanese culture and ceremony.
