Starting a new life in a completely different country, culture, and language while living in a state of uncertainty can be incredibly challenging..
The AYUMO Project provides a friendly and supportive environment where we create opportunities for growth, connection, and building meaningful relationships.
Our goal is to regularly organize various activities that help people socialize, make new friends, learn foreign languages for free, discover Japanese culture, maintain physical and mental well-being, reduce stress, and ease the process of adapting to life in Japan.
The project began operations in September 2022 as part of Hands On Tokyo,
a non-profit organization.
Hands On Tokyo was founded in December 2006 with a working Board of Directors comprising both Japanese and foreign nationals, and has been
recognized non-profit organization since 2009.
Our mission is to "provide meaningful bilingual volunteer opportunities that foster volunteerism and develop leaders to serve the needs of our community."
