A little bit about us
The AYUMO project was created at the discretion ofsocially aware people to support the Ukrainian evacuees and facilitate their adaptation to living in Japan
After all, living in a state of uncertainty andstarting a new life in a completely new country, culture, and language can be pretty challenging..
The AYUMO project is a friendly supportive environment,where we create opportunities for support, growth, and new meeting new people.
The project started operating in September 2022, being officially registered and supported by the Hands on Tokyo NPO organization.
Hands On Tokyo was founded in December 2006 with a working Board of Directors comprising both Japanese and foreign nationals and has been a recognized non-profit since 2009.
It provides meaningful bilingual volunteer opportunities to foster volunteerism and develop leaders to serve the needs of our community.
